ASH Dahlia

ASH Dahlia, bred by the Bentchikou family of Arabian Sun Horses in Belgium, descends from one of their foundation mares, NA Divina, a mare of primarily Russian, Polish, and Crabbet breeding.  Three of her daughters, including Dahma, the dam of ASH Dahlia, were sired by World Champion Warandes Plakat.  This successful family is characterized by beauty, motion, and well-shaped necks, as exemplified by ASH Dahlia.  ASH Dahlia’s sire is the El Shaklan son CH El Brillo, a classically beautiful stallion that has sired numerous champions.  CH El Brillo’s dam is a granddaughter of the influential Russian stallion Naborr and her pedigree also includes the Polish stallion Bask, who was a sire of countless champions in the United States.

The tail female of ASH Dahlia features several generations of horses from the historic Weil Stud of Germany and she traces to the foundation mare of this stud, the Saqlawiyah Jidraniyah mare Murana, foaled in the desert in 1808 and imported to Europe in 1816.  This mare line has the additional distinction of being the oldest in Europe.
